Tortolita's Harrison to Miss Season
Friday, July 25th , 2053
The Tortolita Drummers were dealt a severe blow when Ray Harrison was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the Hartford Pride. After the game, the team trainer reported Harrison might have to spend a lengthy time on the injured list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 28-year-old starting pitcher out for the rest of the season with a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. They indicated it would take Harrison at least 13 months to heal.
This season-to-date, Harrison has fashioned a 1-2 mark and 4.74 ERA in 24.2 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .274 against him and he has logged 17 strikeouts.
