Tortolita Loses Denzel Halford for Season Saturday, June 21st , 2053 The season is apparently over for Denzel Halford. The Tortolita Drummers medical staff informed the club that the starting pitcher will be out at least 7 months with bone chips in his elbow. Halford was hurt in the game against Norfolk while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season. To date this season Halford sports a 4-2 mark with a 1.71 ERA in 8 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .181 batting average and has 48 strikeouts in 52.2 innings. |
