Díaz Pitches Baton Rouge to Shutout Victory Sunday, July 13th , 2053 Ángel Díaz of the Baton Rouge Brass was masterful today, pitching a 4-hit shutout, 6-0, against the Monongahela Monsters. By going the distance, he was at the same time able to give his bullpen a rest, a fact appreciated by Baton Rouge manager Daniel Edwards. "It's nice to have someone who can do that from time to time," he said. "He had command of every ball and every pitch. Great location, too." Díaz had 6 strikeouts and no walks in the outing.
