May Gets Award for Relief Work

Nathan May was dominant and cool under pressure this year, and his standout performance has earned the Jersey City Tritons reliever recognition as the 2053 M3L Triple A Reliever of the Year Award.

"I was just doing my job, and my job is to get people out," said the 30-year-old out of Front Royal, Virginia.

The award winner made 40 relief appearances this year and had 15 saves. He fanned 60 batters in 58.2 innings, with 18 walks. He pitched to a record of 3 wins and 4 losses to go with his 1.53 ERA.

He received 12 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Daniel Ricciardo of the Vermont Lake Monsters finished second in voting, while O-jun Kun of the Pawnee ParksNRec finished third.
