Castejón Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games Monday, September 1st , 2053 José Castejón has been ripping hits every day for a while now, and nobody seems able to stop him. The Santa Catalina first baseman picked up 1 more today against the Echo Park Lakers and now has a 20-game hitting streak. The Condor won the game 5-1. "Definitely somebody's going to stop me at some point," he said later, chuckling. "I'll enjoy it for the time being." José Castejón doubled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, walked in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. This year Castejón is batting .312 with 120 hits and 3 home runs.
