Week's Premier Performer Honored by 3L Monday, August 4th , 2053 A battle-tested Christiaan Bunschoten declared war on opposing pitchers last week, attacking the ball like the well-schooled veteran he is. Today the 34-year-old Northern Virginia first baseman collected the Menard's Third League Player of the Week Award. He wrapped up the week with a .476 average, 10 hits in 21 at-bats, 4 home runs, 13 RBIs and 6 runs scored. So far this year Bunschoten has 14 home runs and a .328 batting average. |
