Popovic Picked SL's Top Newcomer Wednesday, October 1st , 2053 Ostoja Popovic is still a bit shy, but then, who could blame the newest United States Silver League Rookie of the Month honoree? He hasn't been around the league long enough to fully know the ropes yet, despite the fact that he's putting up veteran-like numbers. In September the Oakland hitter tagged opposing pitching for a .389 average with 28 hits, 3 home runs and 11 RBIs. To date Popovic has chalked up a .283 average with 8 home runs, driven in 50 runs and scored 51 times. |
