Burger Tames Cattlemen 5-3, 15 Ks Monday, September 29th , 2053 Everything was working for Kjeld Burger today at The Cattle Pen. He had the perfect delivery. The ball was moving. The cutter was working. In an unforgettable performance, the 30-year-old Burger fanned 15 Cattlemen and sparked the Oakland Oaks to a 5-3 victory over Ft. Worth. He left Cattlemen hitters mumbling and muttering at the plate. And when he needed a strikeout, he got it. "I don't know if there are many times that I've seen him throw better," said Oakland manager DAshley GoAs. "His location and command were really something." In addition to collecting 15 strikeouts over 7.2 innings, Burger allowed 3 hits and 2 walks in a superlative outing. "I thought I'd make it easy on the guys today," Burger said with a smile.
