O'Heyne Crafts 5-0 Shutout
Friday, August 29th , 2053
"Good pitching beats good hitting" is an old baseball adage.
Well, good pitching also beats bad hitting.
Tim O'Heyne of the Hollywood Shredders proved the point at Grazing Hills today, holding the Colorado Billy Goats to 3 hits in a complete game shutout victory.
"O'Heyne made us look real bad today," Billy Goats manager Mack Kilkeary said in a postgame interview. "He was outstanding. He was down in the zone with all his pitches. Everything was sinking."
O'Heyne had 9 strikeouts and gave up 3 walks as the Shredders took the 5-0 win.
In the current season in 8 starts, Tim O'Heyne has a record of 5-2 with 49 strikeouts in 60 innings and a 2.70 ERA.
