Injury Sidelines Edgardo Rivera for Season Sunday, August 11th , 2052 Edgardo Rivera of the Seahawks just might have to call it quits for the season. The 22-year-old Myrtle Beach reliever received a possible season-ending injury against the Delmarva Gallos recently at The Cage. Rivera suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch. The Seahawks medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 14 months. This year Rivera has registered 1 save in 23 relief appearances. He has also compiled a 3-4 won-lost mark with a 1.82 ERA. In 39.2 innings he has fanned 44. |
