Reliever of the Year Award Goes to Jones Saturday, September 20th , 2053 Victor Jones said he thinks hitters often underestimate him, as he's only 23 years old. But he'll certainly be getting a lot more respect now, as the Matlacha Manatees rising star has won the USSL Single A Reliever of the Year Award for 2053. He captured the award on the strength of his 0.55 ERA over 49.1 innings. He also had 26 saves in 41 relief appearances, 85 strikeouts and only 18 walks. He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Marshall Dooley of the Huntington Hermit Crabs finished second in voting, while Edgardo Gutiérrez of the Put-In-Bay Commodores finished third.
