Commodores Are Champs of Silver A Sunday, September 7th , 2053 It was far from a foregone conclusion, but the Put-In-Bay Commodores are now champions of the Silver A. "We battled, day in and day out," said third baseman Don Hickman. "This is one to savor, as it was close right down to the end and that puts a lot of pressure on a team." With a record of 58-38, the Commodores have officially won their 4th division crown. Manager Andrés Pérez said there's "a lot of pride and excitement" involved in coming out on top of the Silver A. The club will now be looking to win the 7th USSL Single A championship in franchise history. |
