No Late-Season Magic Coming: Huntington Out of Playoffs Sunday, September 7th , 2053 In what starting pitcher Ricardo Ávila called a "devastating blow" for baseball fans in Huntington, the Huntington Hermit Crabs won't be a part of the playoffs this season. They were officially eliminated from contention earlier today. The Hermit Crabs have made the playoffs 8 times in their 16 years as a USSL Single A franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 2nd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2049. In the last 10 seasons, the Hermit Crabs have missed the playoffs 4 times. Huntington last won the SL A Championship in 2049. |
