SA Announces Best Pitcher for August Monday, September 1st , 2053 High pressure game situations don't seem to affect Chris Evans, the bullpen ace of the Eugene Vandals. He regularly is put to the test and he regularly makes quick work of the opposition. In August, he was honored for his outstanding relief work. The USSL Single A presented the Pitcher of the Month trophy to him. The Vandals reliever had 6 saves, pitched 11 innings, struck out 13 and walked 7 en route to a 2-0 mark and a 1.64 ERA. To date in 38 relief appearances, Evans has recorded 20 saves while posting an ERA of 3.15 and 44 strikeouts in 45.2 innings pitched. His totals for the year also include 4 wins and 2 losses. |
