Sánchez Is July's Top Starter Friday, August 1st , 2053 There was little doubt around the USSL Single A that Jesús Sánchez would be awarded Pitcher of the Month honors for July. Today, they made it official, naming the 23-year-old Delmarva Gallos starter the latest honoree. He thoroughly dominated the hitters who stood in against him, holding them to a .174 batting average while fashioning a 0.49 ERA in 8 starts. His record for the month was 3-1 in 37 innings of work. Presently Sánchez has a 7-2 mark in 17 starts with a 1.52 ERA. He has given up 59 hits in 89 innings, struck out 95 and issued 17 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .184 batting average against him. |
