Alameda's Moore Will Miss Season
Saturday, July 26th , 2053
Alameda starting pitcher Ben Moore could miss the remainder of the season because of a torn rotator cuff. He exited yesterday's Kennesaw game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Moore would be out 10-11 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."

Presently Moore has a 0-1 mark in 0 starts with a 2.27 ERA. He has given up 21 hits in 31.2 innings, struck out 45 and issued 12 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .196 batting average against him.
