Cattlemen Deal Oaks 5-2 Defeat
|
The Ft. Worth Cattlemen picked up a win at The Oak Grove, knocking off the Oakland Oaks, 5-2. On the mound for Ft. Worth was right-hander Javier Ariza, who played a pivotal role in the win. Marc Potts earned the save for Ft. Worth, his 22nd of the year. The loss makes Oakland 47-43.
Ft. Worth used the bat of Jaime Soto to capture the win. The second baseman jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Cattlemen ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"Chalk one up for the good guys," said Soto. "I'm sure our fans enjoyed that win."
