Starting pitcher Jeff McFarland did his part in helping the Ft. Worth Cattlemen thwart the Baltimore Bullets, 5-1. Ft. Worth, now 43-34, holds down third place in the Silver League.
Louis Bletsoe took Eddie Daniel deep in the bottom of the sixth. His grand slam home run put the Cattlemen on top, 4-1. In all, Bletsoe had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Ft. Worth manager Scott Thompson.
