Chávez Blasts Piranhas, Knights Take Game 3, 7-3
|
The Kingston Township Knights have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Panama City Piranhas, winning 7-3 at Cloverdale Legion Park today. Knights first baseman Carlos Chávez was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times. The win cuts the deficit facing the Knights to 2-1 in the best-of-5 ToC First Round.
Steve Miller, the Kingston Township shortstop, contributed a bases-clearing triple in the bottom of the second inning to make the score 3-0, Knights. For the game, Miller went 1 for 4 with a triple, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"It feels good to get this one," Miller told the Kingston Township Today.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Cloverdale Legion Park in Kingston.
