Boston Win to Pull Even With Vancouver
|
The Boston Patriots and the Vancouver Grey Wolves will take the ToC First Round to a decisive 5th game. In a must-win situation today, the Patriots beat the Grey Wolves 4-2 at Wolf Den in Vancouver to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Boston right-hander Iiri Lahti had a big role in the win. He threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball.
In his 93-pitch effort, Lahti allowed no runs on 4 hits over 6 innings. He walked 1 and struck out 10.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Boston manager Tyler Carter.
Game 5 is scheduled for Sunday at Dunkin Donuts Park in Boston.
