Already down in the ToC First Round, the Boston Patriots put on their best show, beating the Vancouver Grey Wolves by a final score of 1-0 today. César Pinto was special. He threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. Boston now trails Vancouver 2-1 in the best-of-5 affair.

Damon Bansfield, the 29-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Bansfield contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Boston up, 1-0.

"We lost," Vancouver manager David Krause said later. "We'll deal with it. The series isn't over."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Wolf Den in Vancouver in Vancouver.
