Toledo got a terrific performance from pitcher Volmer Aalbers, but it wasn't enough to beat the Oakland Oaks. Oakland won the Pacesetter Park contest, 5-2. Aalbers threw 8.1 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. The Oaks, now 60-49, have won 4 in a row.

Oakland needed the clutch hitting of Sung-jae Hong to notch the win. The catcher hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Oaks on top, 5-2. For the game, Hong had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Hong. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
