3L A Championship Game 1 Victory for Reed and Yucca Valley
|
The Yucca Valley Yellows downed the Idaho Falls Chukars, 4-0, in Game 1 of the 3L A Championship. Sean Reed was a key factor. He threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. The win puts Yucca Valley up, 1-0, in the series.
The game could have flipped with no one out in the top of the sixth. But Sean Reed made what his manager later called "an A-plus pitch." With a runner on 1st and Idaho Falls trailing 2-0, Reed threw a curveball to Shawn Maxwell and Maxwell flied out.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Yucca Valley in Yucca Valley.
