Stingers Suffer 5-2 Setback
|
The Vancouver Grey Wolves bested the Toledo Stingers, 5-2, at Pacesetter Park. Gerald Riley was one of the standouts. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Vancouver, at 46-25, is 6 games up in the Silver League.
With Vancouver leading 2-0 in the top of the fourth, Riley hit a cutter from Volmer Aalbers for a 3-run home run. It was his 14th home run of the season and put the Grey Wolves ahead, 5-0.
"Chalk one up for the good guys," said Riley. "I'm sure our fans enjoyed that win."
