Ramírez Shines in 8-3 Long Island Win
A good performance from center fielder Juan Ramírez helped the Long Island Lighthouse defeat the Vancouver Grey Wolves, 8-3. Ramírez was 2-4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5 for the Lighthouse. The 8th-place Lighthouse now have a win-loss record of 31-38.

Pat Reese had a timely hit in the bottom of the fifth inning. With no one out and the bases loaded, the Long Island shortstop hit a 2-run single. That put the Lighthouse in front, 8-3.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Reese said.
