Vancouver Hot Streak Continues with 5-2 Win
Vancouver pitcher Yaichiro Shini did his part in helping his team beat the Long Island Lighthouse, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Shini picked up the win for Vancouver, going 5.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 4-3. The wins continue to add up for Vancouver, with the latest making it 7 in a row.
Vancouver used the timely hitting of Steven Forrest to capture the win. The second baseman socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Grey Wolves ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"The vibe's good," said Vancouver manager David Krause. "We've got to keep it going."
