Late Rally by Rocketeers Secures 5-2 Win
|
In the 5-2 MSL Seattle win over MSL Hollywood, the impact of Ron Auten was substantial. Auten, who leads the SMSL in bases on balls with 15, was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times. Agnipa Sai collected his 2nd save. Their 18-17 record puts the Rocketeers 6th in the SL MSL.
It could have been a different outcome for MSL Seattle, had it not been for Justin Welch, the 18-year old third baseman . Welch contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put MSL Seattle up, 3-2.
Welch told a MSL Seattle Daily reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
