Grey Wolves Bridle Stingers, 3-2
|
MSL Vancouver Grey Wolves starter Pablo Jiménez turned in a top-notch performance against the MSL Toledo Stingers at MSL Toledo Ballpark. The result was a win for the Grey Wolves, 3-2. Jiménez went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 0, and struck out 7. His record improves to 5-2. Bertrand Kerwin closed the door for MSL Vancouver, picking up his 2nd save of the year.
MSL Vancouver used the timely hitting of Gareth Garnett to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Grey Wolves on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said MSL Vancouver manager Justin Justice.
The 6th-place Grey Wolves have won 4 consecutive games.
