Shredders Beat MSL Baltimore, 4-3
|
The MSL Hollywood Shredders took MSL Baltimore pitcher Héctor Flores's best shot and still were able to claim a win at MSL Baltimore Ballpark. The final score had MSL Hollywood getting past the Bullets, 4-3. Flores went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 7. MSL Hollywood reliever Chun-hua Zhào picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Nicholas Mountfield absorbed the loss. MSL Hollywood has an impressive 19-9 record.
The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Jorge Flores came to bat in the top of the 11th. Facing MSL Baltimore pitcher Nicholas Mountfield, he hit a 1-2 changeup for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting MSL Hollywood on top, 4-3.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said MSL Baltimore skipper John Moore, "and it cost us."
