Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the MSL Baltimore Bullets got the win.
Behind an impressive start by Gustavo Rivera, MSL Baltimore beat MSL Long Island, 4-2. Rivera, now 1-3, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 6, walking 0, and allowing no runs.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Nicholas Mountfield didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 3rd and MSL Long Island trailing 4-2, Mountfield retired Juan Medina to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Mountfield, with a wink.
MSL Baltimore is now 9-6, while MSL Long Island is 10-5.
