Rocketeers Top Oaks, 2-0
|
The Seattle Rocketeers faced a tough opponent in Oakland pitcher Andy Dundee, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Boeing Dome by a final score of 2-0. Dundee went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. Daron Gallagher, the winner, goes to 6-3. He allowed no runs on 2 hits, with 2 walks and 2 strikeouts over 6.1 innings. Juan Concepción earned the save, his 1st, for the Rocketeers.
The Rocketeers got a big at-bat from right fielder Ta-hye Keng, who in the bottom of the fourth hit a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Rocketeers on top, 2-0.
"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Keng.
Seattle has a record of 33-29, placing them 4th in the Silver League.
