The MSL Seattle Rocketeers got a sterling performance from pitcher Eric Jenkins, but the MSL Hollywood Shredders still prevailed, 7-5. Jenkins threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Wang-fen Jia was the winner. Over 6 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 5 hits, with 3 walks and 4 strikeouts. The Shredders, now 5-2, have hit the ground running this season.

A critical at-bat came in the top of the seventh inning when the Shredders sent 18-year-old pinch hitter António Torres to the plate with the bases loaded. The youngster shook off the pressure and drew a walk, driving in 1 run, to put MSL Hollywood on top, 6-4.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Torres said.
