Baltimore Topples Toledo, 4-3
|
Getting a good performance from right fielder Carlos Macías, the Baltimore Bullets defeated the Toledo Stingers, 4-3. Macías went 3-4 with a triple and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Bullets. The winner in relief was Yong-zhan Long. He is now 4-1. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 4 innings. With the win, Baltimore upped its record to 31-29.
The game turned with one out in the bottom of the sixth when Macías hit a run-scoring single. It propelled the Bullets into the lead, 4-3.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Baltimore manager Brandon Slouck.
