MSL Baltimore Gets 1-0 Road Win
Crowds lined up early in front of MSL Hollywood Ballpark, eagerly awaiting the start of the 2053 USSL Mexican Summer League season. On the mound was Héctor Flores for the visiting MSL Baltimore Bullets and Wang-fen Jia for the hometown MSL Hollywood Shredders. In a spirited contest, the Bullets pulled out the win, defeating the Shredders by the score of 1-0. Especially impressive was Wang-fen Jia. Nicholas Mountfield notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits in 3 innings. His record now sits at 1-0.

Michael Austin, the 18-year old catcher , had a direct impact on the outcome. Austin contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put MSL Baltimore up, 1-0.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Austin said after the game.
