Kingfishers Reel Off Another Win
|
The MSL Pittsburgh Kingfishers defeated the MSL Boston Patriots, 6-3, in USPL Mexican Summer League action at MSL Boston Ballpark. MSL Pittsburgh pitcher Fu-quan Su had a standout performance. In 7 innings, Su surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 0. He allowed 2 runs. MSL Pittsburgh has now reeled off 7 straight wins.
MSL Pittsburgh used the bat of Suk-jin Chong to capture the win. The left fielder jacked a grand slam home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Kingfishers ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"I like the roll we're on right now," said Chong after the game.
