Dirty Reds Top Pandas in Extras, 6-3
|
The MSL San Mateo Dirty Reds defeated the MSL Montana Pandas, 6-3, in USPL Mexican Summer League action at MSL Montana Ballpark. MSL San Mateo pitcher Robun Fujihara had a standout performance. Cristovão Mineiro, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit. The win makes MSL San Mateo 13-20.
MSL San Mateo used a clutch hit from Miguel Angel Flores to get the win. The second baseman drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Dirty Reds ahead, 6-3. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a doozy.
"We didn't go down without a fight," said MSL Montana manager Hong Wei Cao.
