White Walkers Stick Kingfishers with 9-2 Loss
|
The MSL Buffalo White Walkers powered past the MSL Pittsburgh Kingfishers, 9-2, at MSL Buffalo Ballpark. Ángel Román went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once, to lead the charge. Sergio Romero, the winner, goes to 4-0. He allowed 2 runs on 7 hits, with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts over 7.2 innings. MSL Buffalo is now 12-9.
The White Walkers got an important contribution from center fielder Kidlat Pimentel, who in the bottom of the fourth knocked a 3-1 cutter into right for a 2-run double. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the White Walkers ahead, 3-0.
"What we get, we earn," Pimentel told the MSL Buffalo Gazette.
