Kingfishers Come Up Short at MSL Athletic Club KC, 5-4
|
The MSL Athletic Club KC U-18 did just enough to secure a victory over the MSL Pittsburgh Kingfishers, 5-4, at MSL ACKC Ballpark. Nobody did more than pinch hitter Andrés Sousa. The win elevated the U-18 to 7-6.
Sousa had a timely hit for MSL Athletic Club KC in the bottom of the seventh. With MSL Pittsburgh trailing 4-3, he turned a first pitch fastball into a 2-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season, making it 5-4, MSL Athletic Club KC.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Sousa.
