MSL New Orleans Funk Reaches 6 Games
|
MSL Pittsburgh and MSL New Orleans played a hard-fought contest.
MSL Pittsburgh Kingfishers starter Fu-quan Su turned in a sterling performance against the MSL New Orleans Voodoo, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. Su, now 1-1, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 7, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs.
MSL Pittsburgh used a well-timed hit by Zhi-xin Chin to capture the win. The catcher socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Kingfishers ahead, 3-2. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"If we keep winning the close games," Chin said, "we'll be in good shape at the end."
The Voodoo, at 2-9, have lost 6 straight games.
