Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Cattlemen
|
Louis Bletsoe impressed in the 8-3 Ft. Worth win over Vancouver. Bletsoe, who is tied for 5th in the SL in RBI with 34, went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Ft. Worth reliever Miguel Moreno, now 1-0. The loser was Michael Knight. Ft. Worth is now 30-23.
Bletsoe had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-0 curveball from Ernie Jones, he banged a grand slam home run to right, giving the Cattlemen a 7-3 lead. It was the 13th home run of the year for Bletsoe.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Scott Thompson said.
