The Greenport Harbor Whales beat the Tijuana Toros, 3-2, at Ballpark of Robbins. Greenport catcher Brock Weeks had an outstanding performance. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Greenport reliever Dan Cortés, now 3-4. The loser was Mo Hollow. With the victory, the Harbor Whales upped their record to 42-40.
Weeks had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 2-0 changeup from Mo Hollow, he banged a solo home run to right-center, giving the Harbor Whales a 3-2 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Weeks.
"It feels good to get this one," Weeks told the Greenport Herald.
