Otters Defeat Interns, 3-1
|
Starting pitcher Luis Rojas was a major factor in the 3-1 Tulsa Otters triumph over the Capital Hill Interns. Reliever David O'Halloran picked up the win. His record improves to 2-1. Kevin Frude took the loss. At 37-32, Tulsa is in 6th place in the Menard's Low A.
A critical at-bat came in the bottom of the seventh inning when the Otters sent 19-year-old center fielder Ramón Galló to the plate with the bases loaded. The youngster shook off the pressure and drew a walk, driving in 1 run, to put Tulsa on top, 3-1.
Rojas said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
