Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Cattlemen
|
Ft. Worth first baseman Louis Bletsoe had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Baltimore Bullets, 7-2. Ft. Worth reliever Monte Evans picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Thomas Rice took the loss. With the win, the Cattlemen have a record of 27-21.
Ft. Worth used the timely hitting of Amani Marwan to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Cattlemen on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Louis is still learning," said Cattlemen manager Scott Thompson. "The sky's the limit for him."
