Tijuana pitcher Ricardo Ortíz did his part in helping his team beat the Flint Crush, 3-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Tijuana reliever Juan Nevárez picked up the win to move to 3-3. Elwood Graham suffered the loss. Tijuana, at 30-15, is 3 games up in the Menard's Low A.
The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Tijuana trailing 2-1, Juan Pérez jumped on a 1-1 changeup from Elwood Graham for a 2-run home run, sending the Toros to a walk-off win.
"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Pérez.
