The Long Island Ducks picked up a win at Ducks Park, taking down the Tijuana Toros, 8-4. Starting pitcher Gerbrand Kodde was a big reason why. Long Island is now 17-20.

In the bottom of the second, Elton Thorington hit a 2-run double. The 5th double of the season for the Long Island first baseman put the Ducks on top, 2-0.

In postgame comments to the Long Island Gazette, Kodde said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
