Snowpeople Flatten Baby Lakers, 11-1

Ellesmere Island Snowpeople starter Charlie MacGibbon had all his pitches working at The Igloo. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 11-1 Ellesmere Island win over the Bompton Baby Lakers. MacGibbon, the winner, moves to 2-5. He threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 3 walks. Ellesmere Island bumps their record to 11-22 with the win.
The Snowpeople got a big hit from designated hitter José Díaz. In the bottom of the seventh, Díaz pounded a 3-run home run to left. His 5th home run of the season put the Snowpeople ahead, 11-1.
"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Bompton manager Júlio Villegas. "We got flat-out beat."
