Interns Make It 4 Straight with 2-1 Win
|
The Capital Hill Interns topped the Greenport Harbor Whales, 2-1, in M3L Low A action at Alouettes Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Capital Hill pitcher Allan Edrada. Capital Hill now has a 4-game win streak.
Jorge Salinero drew 1 walk in 4 trips to the plate for Capital Hill. The 19-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Gerben Groothuijzen. It was his 7th RBI of the season.
"Glad to get this win," said Edrada. "But we need to keep playing at a high level."
