Redwood Makes It 8 Straight with 2-0 Win
Redwood got a first-rate effort from pitcher Dean Mangin, who frustrated Memphis hitters en route to a 2-0 Rhinos triumph at The Stage in Memphis. The winner was Shafeeq bin Fakhry in relief. His record improves to 7-5. Álex Encarnación took the loss. At 52-44, the Rhinos claim 5th place in the Silver Low A.

Redwood used a clutch hit from Brandon Astbury to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Rhinos ahead, 1-0. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a doozy.

"I give credit to my teammates for this win. We got it done," Astbury told the Redwood News.
