Angel Kitties Squelch Beavers Offense in Shutout Win
|
Bethlehem Angel Kitties pitcher Ronnie Peters was all business, helping his team muzzle the Northwest Territory Beavers, 4-0. Peters, the winner, moves to 7-9. He threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 4 walks. Haywood U. Cuddleme earned the save for Bethlehem, his 2nd.
Alastair Warnes, the 20-year old left fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Warnes contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth inning to put Bethlehem up, 2-0.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Peters.
After today's action, Bethlehem sits at 35-54; Northwest Territory slips to 53-36.
