Music Stick Beavers with 3-2 Loss

Yifu Kelly could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Northwest Territory Beavers lost, dropping a 3-2 decision to the Memphis Music at The Stage in Memphis. Jaime Montoya closed it out for his 8th save. Memphis now owns a record of 58-29.
The Beavers had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Music going into the bottom of the third inning. That changed quickly when the 20-year old shortstop Zhen-bang Meng came to the plate. Meng hit a run-scoring double on a full count fastball from Northwest Territory hurler Yifu Kelly. It was Meng's 11th double of the year.
"Every loss hurts," said Northwest Territory manager Robert Acker. "But this was a tough one."
